Now that finally my sister is planning to get married, I'm having the great privilege to choose the bridesmaid dresses and well, I've got everything planned up (as if it was my own wedding, as I'm equally over excited) and I even managed to change my sister's mind about the dresses. It's about time to get over the usual boring long satin dresses which everyone seem to opt for.

By now you should all know how much I love and adore 50's inspired dresses.

The gorgeous Audrey in her lovely wedding dress

I don't really care if this style will be in, in the coming years as in my personal opinion the 40's and 50's are classics and this year Dior proved it during the haute couture show, one of my very favourite shows this year.

Back to the bridesmaid dresses...here are some dresses which I instantly fell in love and I just hope I'll find them locally!

Dress by Justin Alexander...LOVE

I'm obviously leaving the white for the bride... for the bridesmaid dresses we're opting for soft pastel colours, the right pair of high (very high) heels and oh!! the dress must have lace, lots of lace! :)

Oscar de la Renta

I've just came across this Fall/Winter'13 collection on Vogue UK...and I honestly think that it's just brilliant..I'm so glad that lace and fur are here to stay :) I've also noticed the great use of fishnet tights, bob hairstyles, lovely hair bands and brooches...

Style Icon - Sybil Fawlty

One of my favourite comedy shows is by no doubt Fawlty Towers. I loved to watch it when I was young and still enjoy watching the episodes all over again now :) I was always drawn and amused by Sybil's style (played by Prunella Scales). The sophistication and glamour, from her bouffant hair right down to her 60's shoes. Even when she's lying in bed smoking and eating chocolates, she never fails to look amazing. She is such a true inspiration! And she is definitely a style icon to me  :)
